A wall painting from the tomb of an ancient Egyptian nobleman named Nebamun. The tomb was built circa. 1400 B.C. and is near Thebes.

The  painting  shows  a  man  hunting  birds  on  a  small  boat  with  a  woman  and  a girl  in  the  marshes.  On  the  middle  part  of  the  painting,  we  can  see  a  man,  Nebamun  standing  in  perfect  balance  on  a  light boat.  He  is  wearing  princely  collar  and  fine  kitt  and  his  right  hand  captured  3  blue  birds,  the  other  hand  holding  a  throw-stick.  There  is  a  woman  on  the  left  side  of  the  painting;  she  is  Nebamun’s  wife,  Hatsheput.  She  is  standing  on  the  right  side  of  Nebamun  and  look  at  him.  She  dressed  formal  banquet  and  has  wigs.
Besides  that,  there  is  a  girl  whom  faces  to  Hatsheput  and  sit  below  Nebamun,  she  is  Nebamun’s  daughter.  She  is  seated  with  1  arm,  grabbing  strong  leg  of  Nebamun  and  her  left  hand  pickling  the  lotus  flower.  On  the  left  bottom  part  of  the  painting,  we  can  see  some  scaly  and  shiny  fishes.  Moreover,  we  can  also  see  a  tawny  cat  which  has  gilded  eyes,  catching  3  birds  among  the  papyrus  stem,  on  the  right  side  of  man,  middle  part  of  the  painting.
There  are  also  4  red  and  white  Plain  Tiger  butterflies  flying  on  the  painting,  2  are  on  the  right  side  of  Nebamun’s  hand,  the  other  2  are  on  the  right  side  of  Nebamun’s  leg.  Furthermore,  we  can  see  2  types  of  flower  in  the  painting,  which  is  lotus  flower  and  papyrus.  Lotus  flower   is  located  on  the  middle  bottom  part  of  the  painting,  which  Nebamun’s  daughter  left  hand  pickling  whereas  papyrus  is  located  on  the  left  side  of  the  painting,  which  got  some  birds  are  breeding  on  top  and  some  birds  are  standing  on  top.  There  are  many  birds  located  on  the  left  top  part  and  also  left  bottom  part  of  painting.
On  the  left  top  part  of  the  painting,  there  are  3  white-blue  birds  captured  by  Nebamun  and  the  other  1  is  breeding  on  the  nest.  The  orange  bird  with  green-black  wings  did  not  realise  something  is  happening.  Besides that,  orange  bird  with  blue-white  wings  and  also  the  green-black  bird  with  grey  wings  are  trying  to  escape.  On  the  other  hand,  on  the  left  bottom  part  of  the  painting  got  orange  bird  with  black-white  wing  catches  by  cat’s  front  leg  while  a  yellow  bird  with  red  face  and  black-white  wing  is  bite  by  the  cat.  There  are  also  an  orange  bird  with   black-white  wings  did  not  realise  something  is  happening  while  a  black-white  bird  is  captured  by  the  back  leg  of  the  cat.

When we observe  Ancient Egyptian art we see a kind of different distorted technique used by the artist. This form of depiction is commonly found in the artworks of this era, and it is very interesting. What makes Ancient Egyptian art interestingly different is that we see different poses in one figure, as in the painting found on the walls on the tomb of the artist Nebamon, to the left. The portrayed figure is hunting for fowl, and as he takes action we see his torso and left hand from the front, while he is facing left, his feet are also displayed from side view. Even more interesting is the position of his right hand, we see this hand in a weird angle from the back.
